           Dr. Barton has been the Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Baptist Health Lexington since 1991. He earned his MD from the University of Kentucky (UK) College of Medicine (1985), and he completed a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from the University of Tennessee (1991). He has been a volunteer professor at the University of Cincinnati, associate clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Louisville, and a part-time associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at UK. Dr. Barton has written or contributed to more than 90 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has done research and writing about hypertension in pregnancy and its effects on mothers and infants.

           Leanne French earned a MS in Public Health from Western Kentucky University and has been working at the Louisville Department of Health and Wellness since 2004. She serves as Partnerships and Program Administrator at the Center for Health Equity and works with community partners to improve the health of all Louisville citizens. Ms. French has presented lectures on topics including cultural competency for clinical staff, fighting obesity, leadership, cardiovascular disease in Kentucky, valuing differences, developing coalitions and collaborations, and sexual assault and harassment.

           Courtney Smith earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Wright Institute in Berkeley, California (1999) and completed a post-doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Child/Pediatric Psychology (2000) at the University of Louisville (UofL). Since 2018, she has been Assistant Professor/Clinical Faculty and, since 2019, Associate Chief, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the UofL School of Medicine. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Smith worked for Hospice of Louisville, Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital, and Frazier Rehab Institute. She has given over 30 presentations covering topics such as pediatric hospice services, pediatric pain, dealing with children's anger, and expressive therapy for pediatric cancer patients.

           Dr. Bada earned her MD from the University of San Tomas, Philippines (1969), completed a Neonatology Fellowship (1975) at the University of Louisville, and received a MPH from the University of South Florida. Dr. Bada is Professor of Pediatrics, Neonatology Division, at the University of Kentucky (UK) College of Medicine; Professor, School of Public Health, UK Department of Health Behavior; and has been Director of the Maternal and Child Health Division at the KY Department for Public Health since 2017. Dr. Bada, a national expert in care and follow-up of infants with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, has over 150 publications and 200 invited lectureships, and she has been involved in 24 research projects.

           Andy Waters earned his MPH from the University of Kentucky College of Public Health (2010). He was an epidemiologist for Fayette County Health Department and served as Branch Manager of Health Promotion at the KY Department for Public Health in 2015 before becoming Assistant Director of the Maternal and Child Health Division. He oversees preparation and writing of grants and serves as project director for multiple grants and programs. He develops the department budget, oversees contracts and agreements, allocates funds for projects, and responds to media requests. Mr. Waters was writer or co-writer for seven grants and has been involved in 18 research projects, publications, and presentations.
